Phil Brown. The editor of Bob Marshall in the Adirondacks has put together a 45-minute slide show that complements the book. Bob Marshall was one of the giants of the wilderness-preservation movement. The show covers his entire life, from his peak-bagging in the Adirondacks to his explorations of unmapped Alaska. It contains many historical photographs, including some of the earliest color shots of the Adirondacks, taken by Marshall circa 1920. Phil's slide show has been well-received by audiences at the Adirondack Museum, the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, the Adirondack Mountain Club, Cornell University, the state College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and many other venues. After the show, Phil can answer questions and sign books. For more information, call Phil at (518) 891-3918 or send a note to philbrown@juno.com.
